presario v2000
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

need to replace hard drive in my presario v2000.

understand it is a pata drive.

the pata drives i found online have male connector terminals.

my drive has female connector terinals.

what to do? what shall i search for?

Hi:

 

There is some kind of connector on the end of the hard drive that plugs into the notebook.

 

You just have to remove it from the old hard drive and put it on the new one.

 

Here's a picture of what the connector looks like...
