Is this Battery Alert 601about the CMOS battery for BIOS?
How could I replace the CMOS battery?
I was able to check the laptop battery - 25% of the previous performance (the device almost always runs on power supply - with mains power).

Please take a screenshot of the warning or quote it verbatim. But given the age of the laptop it is possible the CMOS/RTC battery needs replacement. See p. 50 of the Service Manual here:
The check you ran is for the "main" battery and it very well might also need replacement. Is there something happening that makes you think the problem is the RTC battery? Will the laptop keep proper time?

Thanks for the answer
the laptop runs flawlessly - almost always on the electricity network
The message appears during the boot process - how to take a screenshot?
I think, due to the age, I should change the RTC battery anyway.
Which RTC battery model do I have to order? Does every 2032 button cell work?

Yes you can just use a 2032 coin battery but would have to adapt the holder and connector and attachment cables from the old RTC battery to the new. The Manual lists the HP Part number for the RTC battery and you can likely find one already made up from amazon or ebay for a few dollars. Viel Glueck.
