Hello kabong.

According to your laptop's manual, the USB-C port you have: "Connects an AC adapter that has a USB Type-C connector, supplying power to the computer and, if needed, charging the computer battery.– and –Connects a USB device, provides high-speed data transfer, and charges small devices (such as a smartphone), even when the computer is off.– and-Connects a display device that has a USB Type-C connector, providing DisplayPort output."

The manual also lists USB-C adapters that were either shipped with the laptop, or can be purchased separately:

The above mentioned 45W and 65W USB-C chargers are guaranteed to charge your laptop correctly, and to honour the USB-PD protocol. As I've been informed by the more seasoned EXPERTS here on the HP community, the only way to know for sure that a laptop can be charged with a USB-C charger is if it is actually offered such a charger (by HP). Although theroretically any charger with similar specifications will work, posts on the forum have shown that HP laptops can be very picky with the kind of charger (or powerbank) used, so bear that in mind if you want to purchase an aftermarket one.

Take care!
