Hi:

 

Refer to chapter 5 of your notebook's maintenance and service manual at the link below for how to remove and replace the battery.

Thanks for your reply but it's not correct for my laptop. The screw for the optical drive has the base of the computer covering it with no opening to access screw. It does seem like there is a screw their when I try to separate the bottom. Thinking about drilling into plastic to se if i can access the screw ?

I am in no position to recommend that you start drilling into the case.

thanks for your help but it feels like their is an optical drive screw beneath plastic but no access to screw , think i'm going to attempt drilling it . cover for optical drive broke trying to pull it out . I have already purchased a new one but was going to replace the battery in this as it is only 4 years old. Thanks again Paul
