purchased new HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15t-ed100 have a 15-da0012dx laptop with a 500 gig ssd will this ssd fit in the new laptop and be recognized by the 15t-ed100

Only if the drive is NVMe.

 

According to the service manual, only NVMe M.2 SSD's are supported.
