i have purchase the wd ssd 240 gb today but its not sata 3 interface

Hi:

 

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, notebooks with the Intel core processors have M.2 slots that support both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

 

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Either one of the SATA SSD's you selected should work fine.

 

If you want NVMe, that should work fine too.
