Product: HP 832C motherboard

Dear members
I want to upgrade my laptop processor from Intel Pentium N3710 to i5.
In my laptop ,  HP 832C  25.42  motherboard is being used. 

I have a question if I will upgrade my Laptop from N3710 to i3 or i5
will my laptop motherboard  HP 832C  25.42 will support this processor upgradatio
Please reply me

Hi:

 

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded unless you replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.

 

I don't believe that your notebook comes with a system fan since it has a Pentium processor, so you would also need to purchase the correct fan and heat sink part numbers to accommodate the better motherboard.

 

It would be much easier to sell or trade in your notebook and buy one that comes with a better processor.
