"R" key doesn't work

This is another post about keyboard keys not working properly. My "r" and "x" don't work.  I think HP knows this is a problem but it's difficult to find good solutions to the problem.

I see you are experiencing keyboard issues R key not working on the Omen HP Laptop PC.

I have a few recommendations 

• Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
• Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date. 
• Check if the R and X key works in command prompt or on a notepad
• Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics to complete functional test of the keyboard and identify any problems with the hardware.
