Dear Friends,
My laptop is HP ZBook Fury 15 G7. It has four so-dimm slots for RAM.
Slot number 1 and slot number 3 is next to each other under the keyboard.
Slot number 2 and slot number 4 is next to each other under the bottom cover.
Where should I put two pieces of 32GB Ram for dual channel operation? I have not found any information about that. There are only oppinions, and a lot of discrepancies. One oppinion is to put them to No1 and No2. But they are on different location. Another oppinion is to put in No.1 and No.3 they are next to each other under the keyboard, but somebody say No1 and No2 are in pairs for dual channel operation. What is the truth?
Many Thanks

Hello Lacc47.

Short answer: The truth is 1 and 3.
Long answer:
If we take a look at the available HP documentation for your workstation, HP considers the RAM slots under the keyboard as the "Primary Memory Modules".
HP Official Support disassembly video
The manual has detailed instructions on how to access the RAM slots 1 and 3 (p.62) and 2 and 4 (p.55).
The datasheet for this G7 system doesn't really offer any help when it comes to the order in which the RAM modules should be installed.
However, the datasheet for the identical TigerLake refresh G8 system provides the necessary information.
Take care!
