If the memory module can't be not inserted properly it is very likely that it is not the DDR3L memory module format that is compatible with your notebook.
I can see by comparing the modules in the image that they do not appear to be the same type.
Take the installed module out and line the bottom parts up to see if they are identical. They must be for the candidate module to fit in the available empty memory module slot.
Memory modules of different types are keyed differently so they will not fit in the wrong type of slot on a system board.
A DDR4 module will not fit in a DDR3 slot.

No. Both memory slots will be identical.
I suggest reading my previous post. I explained how to tell if the modules are the same or not.
For the modules to work they also should be identical. Putting in different brand or capacity modules could result in only one module working or a non boot to Windows.
