Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

c06691790.pdf (hp.com)

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.

 

Since your notebook has an Intel® Pentium® Silver N5000 processor, it only has one memory slot and the maximum memory supported is 1 x 8 GB.

 

So, you will have to remove the 4 GB memory chip and install an 8 GB memory chip.

Hi,

Yes you can upgrade to 8GB of RAM by replacing the module which is in the notebook

Example

On page 43 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the RAM module
