my device model no. is 15q-bu004tu and the serial no. is [edit]can anyone tell me what is the maximum ram i can upgrade for this device and would it be ddr3 or ddr4

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

 

2 x 8 GB is the max...DDR4-2133.  You could also use DDR4-2400 too but it will downclock to 2133.
