Hello, I have a Pavillion 15p 125Nr series notebook. It has Samsung 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 memory. Can I use it as 12 GB by adding another 8 GB memory? What is the maximum memory supported by my device? In my research, my device is max. I found that it supports 1333 mhz. But it has 1600 mhz memory from the factory. What is the maximum RAM supported by my device? Can I use 1600 mhz memory?

Hi:
Your notebook's AMD Quad-Core A10-5745M processor can only run the memory at a max speed of 1333 MHz.
You can install up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory in your notebook.
Chapter 1 of the service manual is incorrect with regard to the maximum memory you can install.
The Crucial memory report also indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

Thank you very much for your help. Can I use 12 GB by adding an 8 GB 1600 MHz memory along with the 4 GB memory in my laptop? My device supports 1333 MHz. If I insert 1600 MHz, there is no problem, but I can use it as 1333 max. I hope I understood correctly. Thanks again.
