Hi,

I recently opened up my laptop for some maintenance. for it to open i needed to remove my optical drive.

when i tried te reassemble the laptop the screw of the optical drive did not fit. i'm 100% sure it is the right size, but it seems there is nothing for the screw to attach on. Is there a small part that maybe fell out?

i hope someone can help me with this problem, because i cannot attach my optical drive.

Edit:

screw thread was really deep. just needed to push pretty forcefully.

Yes there is a very small bracket that bolts on the back of the optical drive:

Above is a picture of it. The hole on the tab jutting out is what takes the screw that holds the drive in the chassis.
