Hi,

Can you post back with the following details.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers - what devices are listed here?

Regards,

red LED underneath the audio / mute button (f6)

Hello, these are listed:

Sound, Video and Game Controllers : -->

IT:  Audio Intel(R) per schermi / EN: Intel Audio (R) Screens

IT: Realtek High Definition Audio

What does all this have to do with the LED light placed below the key (f6) of the keyboard?

Before cliccavo just to put the audio mute is turned on the light of the red LED, now do not.

It only works the white LED light of the Caps Lock key.

How can I fix? That, it turns on again (f6) button?

Thanks.

Hi,

The functionality of the mute led is provided by the audio software package, so try the following.

Download the Realtek HD Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77501-78000/sp77787.exe

When done, hold down the Windows key and press R

Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the Realtek installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again and let windows fully load for a few minutes before checking.

Regards,
