i just bought the new mouse, but i wonder the middle click wheel button does not work, is it by design or i need to get it replaced please give me a correct answer thanks

What kind of mouse did you buy? Mice with enhanced buttons sometimes require a driver or Windows just treats it like a simple two button mouse.

That one should not need a driver but you may need to go into the mouse app in the control panel and activate the advanced features of the scroll wheel.

I guess that is by design as there is another button below scroll wheel for horizontal scrolling.
