HP Recommended

I installed a new keyboard with backlight in my laptop so I now have an F5 with the ....  The keyboard works fine but I cannot get the computer to recognize that I now have a backlight.  When I installed it, there was a slot on the motherboard to plug in the backlight, which I utilized.  I believe the registry needs to be modified to recognize my keyboard upgrade.  Can someone assist me with how to update my registry?

My laptop is HP Notebook - 14-dq0011dx.
