Hello!

My relatives were visiting me over Christmas, and afterwards I found that the laptop touchscreen is cracked (HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 13'3, matt). Nobody confesses, but I believe that cover of the laptop was closed with smth between the laptop cover and the body.

Could please anyone give an idea of the repair cost?

Is it possible to order the touchscreen & replace it myself? Any idea on where I could order it?

Thank you very much!

Anastasiia

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

Your screen:

Full high-definition (FHD), ultra-wide viewing angle (UWVA), (1920 × 1080) eDP 1.3,
UltraSlim, touch display, 400 nits

Touch displays are only spared as full hinge-ups. Individual components are
not spared for touch screen displays.

269 Euros is actually a very good price. HP Parts would charge at least double that. And yes it is not real difficult to replace the whole hinges up display assembly. See p. 34 of the Manual. Likely only the glass is cracked and the whole assembly is not really needed but if you try to replace just the glass or a part of the screen assembly it gets to be a much harder job so you may as well just replace the whole assembly.

Post back if you need any more help or please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
