HP ENVY Notebook - 15-q493cl (ENERGY STAR)

just had my keyboard replaced.  Ended up with a few extra parts.  One being a heavy chunk of metal that is about 3.5" long.  Keyboard is working great but concerned this was something important.  Any thoughts?

"just had my keyboard replaced. Ended up with a few extra parts."

There should never be extra parts, especially if the part replacing the original one had the original part number.

A new OEM keyboard is not going to be delivered with extra parts.

Ask whoever installed it why there are extra parts and where did they come from.
You should have done that before you accepted your laptop after work was done on it.

Did the person not put something back that was removed while gaining access to the internal part of the laptop?
