Product: pavilion 15-au123cl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Need a replacement battery for my laptop Pavilion 15-au123cl .  The battery in the laptop says it is 8.8v all the replacement batteries I can find say they are 7.7 v. The battery in the laptop is Bp02xl 849489-421  5150mah 8.8v and is the battery the one that came with the computer. Can I use the the lower voltage replacement battery?  Thanks al

It won't run as designed to run. Its part # 849909-855 which is N/A from HP

The  battery is a 7.7 v battery not a 8.8 v.  Are there any 8.8 v batteries that will fit this laptop and why does  this laptop have 8.8 v battery when all the online documentation shows this is a 7.7 v not 8.8 v as shown on battery installed in this laptop.  Thanks al
