Envy 17 CND53965MR
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to find a replacement battery for my Envy 17 laptop.  Unfortunately, the HP Parts Store is worthless for this because searches using laptop serial number and battery part number both come back with zero results.  Should I get a battery from another source?  If so, what sources are trustworthy?

Use HP Envy 17t-M9X68AV and replacement battery as the search term in your favorite search engine.

You can also use the following part number.

-cell, 62WHr 32.8AH Li-ion battery HP p/n 710417-001

Ensure that the vendor guarantees compatibility and has a one year warranty.

For the original HP part number use the following Maintenence & service guide. Item 20 is the battery. Page 25.

What is the complete product number or product name of your notebook?

Unfortunately, the way you have identified it is too generic.

If your notebook is pretty recent, while logged into Windows, hold down the Fn key and tap the Esc key.

That should invoke a window that shows the complete product number and product name of your HP product.

Post it here in your thread.

I held down the fn key and tapped the Esc key, but no window opened.  According to the paperwork that came with my laptop, I have an Envy 17t Quad.  According to the HP Support Assistant, my product number is M9X68AV.
