I have a late 2017 hp spectre x360 (13-ae0xx), and the ssd seems to be corrupted. Had some BSODs, stuff like boot device not found amongst others. Recently the file system on the C drive was RAW so couldn't start windows at all. By some miracle, a day later the laptop said 'repairing disk errors' and it worked again, but I'm afraid the ssd is corrupt and thinking I should probably replace it.
What's in there now is a liteon ca1 -8d256-hp 238.47 GB SSD. It seems to be 22x110mm and quite fast, but haven't found too much info on the ssd. Hardware isn't really my forte. What specs exactly does an SSD need to comply to to work/fit in my laptop? What SSDs would you reccommend to (not) get? Probably want some more space (512GB) if it's doable with the price.
Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated! (also if anyone has had similar issues would like to hear what you did.)

Hello @druppel,
The HP Spectre 13-ae000 x360 Convertible PC will accept a PCIe NVMe SSD or an M.2 SATA III SSD. The form factor is 2280 (22mm * 80mm).
Samsung has some good options but some people have reported some issues with compatibility. Crucial also has some options that are guaranteed compatible with your device. HP also lists options in their own manual but it's probably better/cheaper to just get it from a different brand.
For replacement procedures, you do have the Maintenance and Service Guide, starting from page 33, and you may also be able to find a relevant video on the HP Support YouTube channel. However, without the proper safety precautions and experience, computer part replacements can go terribly. Therefore, if you do not feel confident, I highly recommend you find a technician at a local computer repair shop.
Hope that helps.
