HP Notebook - 17z-ca100 CTO

i need to replace the bottom cover on my model 17zca100 laptop. I have removed all screws, including those under the rub strips. I loosened the top from the bottom at front back and sides, but the bottom is still being held to top. The replacement cover that I have has two plastic tabs near the center that look like they need to be released before the bottom cover will come off. All online videos, including HP's, show the cover coming off by only removing all screws and separating the edges from the top. I need to know how to release the plastic tabs, so the bottom cover will come off.

I did what the maintenance on page 38 says to do but the cover is still held by the plastic tabs and will not come off.

Hello @franct1

Double check that you have removed all the necessary screws.

Please use a plastic tool to " pry the bottom cover up to remove it."

Kind regards
