Hi:

 

The Samsung 980 (not 980 pro) should work.

 

Your PC's M.2 slot is only PCIe Gen 3.

 

A PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD such as the Samsung 980 Pro would work, but it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds, so unless you plan on transferring it to a newer PC in the future, you would be wasting your money paying more for a PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
