Hi all,
HP 250 g5
The pc has a slot and anchoring screw stand off (2280). Problem is the connector has only one notch. Indicating an NVME. Put me right if I'm wrong.
I bought a 500GB m.2 2280 NVME that has a single notch, It does not get recognized.
What am I doing wrong?
I am confused as to why this is happening.

According to your service manual, your model only supports M.2 SATA SSDs, not M.2 NVMe.

M.2 SATA SSDs, as shown on page 65 of the manual, have two notches but fits in the one-keyed M.2 slot.
You can install an M.2 SATA SSD like this.
