I upgraded my HP Pavilion g7-2126sz from a Pentium B950 to an i7-3630QM and updated the BIOS beforehand, but now the screen is not turning on. Can this be fixed, or is the CPU just not compatible?

It is compatible the problem was my RAM it was 1066 MHz, and the CPU needs at least 1333 MHz. I replaced the RAM stick and now everything works fine. Thanks for taking the time to help.

The processor is not compatible.
Your PC's system board only supports the 35W processors, so the best processor you can install in your notebook would be the Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM processor
