Hi:
Please take a look at chapter 5, page 33 of the service manual.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
NOTE: Solid-state drive (1) can house up to a Gen4 solid-state drive. Solid-state drive (2) can house up to a Gen3 solid-state drive
The max read/write speed you can get out of a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe SSD slot is around 3.500 MBPS, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with the speeds you're getting from the second NVMe drive you added.

OMG, really...
Thanks, maybe you know, what ssd is good , 980 pro or standard MZVL21T0HCLR - 00BH1 ?
And i have in my laptop USB Type-C® Thunderbolt™ , if i will buy "rack extern" m2 to Type-C , than my ssd will be work is fast speed, or only 3500\3000?
Thanks😇

You're very welcome.
The Samsung 980 is PCIe Gen 3, so that one would be fine.
It should come close to the 3500/3000 read/write speed.
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question regarding the USB C thunderbolt if it will run the 980 Pro at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.

Hi!
Skampert, according to your laptop's specs it has "1 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB4™ Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)". For information about Thunderbolt you can take a look at these two links:
Intel: What Is Thunderbolt 4? Thunderbolt 4 Explained
External storage will have speeds that pretty much top off at 2,800 MB/s as seen in the second link. So you'll definitely NOT see anything close to the speed of a Gen4 or even a Gen3 SSD, but it will still be very fast.
Take care!
