hello Hp.

i bought this hp elitebook 835 g8 ryzen 5 5650u gen 3 for a good price deal. sadly it's a 256 GB version, So I wanted to upgrade my storage capacity to 512 GB or add another 512 gb. when i opened my device it looked like it has only 1 nvme m.2 slot but i found another small slot that i dont know if it's related to storage
I attached a picture of the slot, please tell me what is it ? and if it's an ssd slot367596892_7133616560001703_77692222375879929_n.jpg367523617_860293502122159_1650570169774768970_n.jpg

Hi:

The slot you see is intended for a WWAN card as you can see from the writing below the slot.

The WWAN card is for a mobile broadband Wi-Fi adapter, and it is highly unlikely it will support any other device but one of those.

I don't know of anyone that has gotten a M.2 SSD to work in a WWAN slot and several have tried.

will an WESTERN DIGITAL black sn 770 or ww blue sn 570 work on the only nvme slot since there are no other slots sadly ?

HP Recommended

Yes, either would work, but since the WD Black 770 is PCIe Gen 4.0, it will only run at the speed allowed by your notebook's Gen 3 SSD slot, which would be around 3,500 MBPS.
