@jabingb

Yes, why not ? But vendors squeeze more to a same physical size therefore please take care, it may not reliable.  I would wait for few more years to get a better view.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.

I attempted this and could not get the pc to boot.  I took it to a local pc repair shop and they said it is not possible.  My question is, will the architecture support it or not?

Hi!

jabingb, according to your product's manual (page 2) your laptop can support either SATA or PCIe SSDs, and according to Crucial 's site, these PCIe SSDs can (supposedly) be up to 4TB. So, the architecture supports it. However, 4TB IS a bit of a stretch. When you pass the 2TB mark, incompatibility issues have been known to occur..... If you really have to have a 4TB PCIe SSD, try the gen3 Crucial one from the site.

TG, I see the what you are referencing in the manual, both SATA & PCIe, but the drive I'd like to use is NVMe M.2 and that is NOT mentioned.  Is that not meaningful?
