Hi @ibrahim14,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Your HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0056wm's battery stops charging at 63%, likely due to its worn-out condition as indicated by the 50% health status. However, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve this issue before replacing the battery:

Battery Calibration:

  • Sometimes recalibrating the battery can help with these issues. Here's how you can do it:
    1. Charge your laptop to 100% and leave it charging for an extra 2 hours.
    2. Unplug the charger and let the laptop discharge completely until it shuts down due to low battery.
    3. Leave the laptop off for 3-5 hours.
    4. Charge it back to 100% without interruption.

Check Battery Settings in BIOS:

  • Make sure there are no settings in the BIOS that limit battery charge to a specific percentage.

Review Power Management Settings:

  • Ensure that Windows power settings are not restricting battery charge:
    1. Open Settings.
    2. Go to System > Power & Battery.
    3. Under Battery, make sure there's no setting that limits battery charging.

Run a Battery Diagnostic:

  • Use the HP Support Assistant to check the health of your battery:
    1. Open HP Support Assistant.
    2. Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes.
    3. Select Battery Check to run the diagnostic.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it would be best to replace the battery.

I hope this helps.
