I am not the first person to have the problem of removing the bottom cover of the spectre x360 convertable 13 ap0038nr. The cover only has two screws under the front rubber strip and NO screws under the back rubber strip. There are no other screws visible on the bottom of the device. The only manuals and videos show between 5 and 7 screws. There has been no satisfactory answer to previous owners requests.

Hi!
There are SIX (6) screws on all of these systems.....
It doesn't make sense that a particular part number doesn't have the screws in the right place. Those rubber thingies can be a real PITA to remove. Watch (non-HP) video:

No, on my system and others who have posted, there are only two screws. Over and over people send us to the same video which shows between 4 and seven screws... What do we have to do to get you and others to understand there are only two screws on the front bottom cover and NONE on the rear bottom (hinged end). Why hasn't an HP person responded?

I apologize, after watching the NON-hp video one realizes that pulling the rubber up leaves a second underlying strip that needs to be removed before one can see the other screws. The key is the NON-hp video. Thank you so much.

Nubi70, I'm glad you figured it out and now you can move on (to upgrading or whatever it is you wanted to do). Apology unnecessary, I completely understand your reaction. For the record, when these systems first came out, I read a review by the Austrians at Notebookcheck.net and they said something along the lines of: "We have no idea how or even if this laptop can be opened up, we can't find any screws....." 🤣
Take care!
