hp probook 440 g9
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi. I recently bought an Hp probook with product id or sku 678R1AV. It does not have a # also it does not end with an R. Does it mean it is  a refurbished laptop?

Hi:

When the product number does not end in a 'R' the notebook was not refurbished by HP.

Since the 440 G9 is a couple of years old, it is either new old stock, or previously owned, but definitely not refurbished by HP.

Ok thank you, the replied is helpful. Just a question of interest what does this R in my laptop's SKU stands  for  or what does it mean?

You're very welcome.

The 'R' has to be the last character in the product number for it to mean 'refurbished by HP.'
