everything was working fine until I installed a new windows. now my touchpad isn't responding. please i need your help

Which version of Windows did you install?
I suggest using an external USB mouse and the invoking the Device Manager to see if the OS recognixes the touchpad as being present.
In device manager open the mouse device, that will be your touchpad, to see if there is a driver present.
