Hi @siddu_09,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Pavilion X360 touchpad. It seems like a frustrating situation. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
Restart your laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware issues. Make sure to restart your computer and see if the touchpad starts working.
Update Drivers: Ensure that your touchpad drivers are up to date. You can go to the HP support website, enter your laptop model, and download the latest touchpad drivers. Install them and check if the issue persists.
Rollback Drivers: If the issue started after a driver update, try rolling back to the previous version. Right-click on the touchpad device in Device Manager, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and choose "Roll Back Driver" if available.
Uninstall and Reinstall Drivers: In Device Manager, uninstall the touchpad device, and then restart your laptop. Upon restart, Windows should automatically reinstall the touchpad drivers. Check if the touchpad works properly.
Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows updates include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve hardware issues.
BIOS/UEFI Update: Check if there's a BIOS/UEFI update available for your laptop on the HP support website. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues.
Check for Hardware Issues: If the problem persists, there might be a hardware issue.
System Restore: If the issue started recently, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a point before the problem began.
Remember to back up your important data before making any significant changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
