Hi:
You have a dv6215ea with an Intel Core Duo processor T2060, according to the product number you posted.
I have zipped up and attached the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook (F.2E), below.
WinFlash driver for HP Pavilion dv6215ea
This package contains the WinFlash Utility and a system BIOS image for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The WinFlash Utility is used to locally flash the system BIOS (ROM) on notebooks operating in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Compatible devices: RY642EA, RY645EA
The release date was 12 Apr 2010. The actual date of the BIOS will be a bit earlier.
Download, unzip and run the file.
You can only run it in Windows.
It cannot be run outside of Windows unless you have special BIOS programming tools that most folks don't have.
Since you are running a supported operating system, it should be safe to update the BIOS in Windows Vista.

Hi:
The BIOS files were written to be run using Windows Vista.
If your dv6000 has an AMD processor, there is a 100% chance the BIOS update will wreck your PC.
On the notebooks with the Intel processors, most of the time the BIOS update works, but sometimes it wrecks the PC.
If you want to try and update the BIOS knowing the above facts, I need to know the product number of your dv6000.
It should be on the same label as the serial number.
