Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000 (771S7AV)

Hi, thank you all for reading in advance.  i  bought my hp victus in the us but i had to move out to brazil for family reasons. my hp victus stopped working out of nowhere and i had to get it repaired in a computer repair shop over here, since there are no HP customer service locally where i live. and he said that the main reason to cause my laptop to malfunction was the bios. However ever since i got it back my gpu has been heavily underperforming;

everytime i try to load in a game, and my gpu is at 100% utilization, the temps go to 88 and theres a massive throttling going on where the gpu barely draws more than 30W when before it would draw 55 - 75W
its not the thermal paste because i already repasted it, both fans are working perfectly at max speed and i can feel the cool air coming out
could you please provide me the exact gpu vbios that comes with this laptop, thank you.

Something seems wrong here.

You have the mobile version of the RTX-3050 which is specified here

It can draw a maximum of 45 watts as listed a the TPD.

The throttling temperature is 90-94c so 88c is a good temperature.

You should use CPU-z and  GPU-z to check the exact temperature and performance.

Verify CPU speed using this tool (CPU-Z)

You might be able to check for GPU/CPU temperature problems using this tool (GPU-Z) and selecting 'sensors'

The task manager can show a problem such as CPU or GPU running at %100 load or not having enough memory

There is also a Hot Spot that can exceed the 100c temperature limit. This automatically throttles the GPU

If your CPU and / or GPU is overheating, consider getting a laptop cooler.

That 6gb version is a nice upgrade.

There are a number of possibilities.  What was the problem that you took it in for?

Possibly the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU.

Have GPU-z record the CPU and GPU temperatures.

Check power plan, ensure %100 is selected.  Note that if the CPU is in turbo mode for a long time it will overheat and throttle.

Enter the phrase edit power plan in the window search box
Then select the Advanced tab

It could also be the known problem of the 13th generation I5 mobile CPU

From Google's AI quote

If your 13th generation Intel Core i5 mobile CPU is overheating, it could be due to a known issue with recent Intel processors, specifically related to "Vmin shift instability" which causes unexpected voltage increases, leading to excessive heat generation, especially under heavy loads;

Make sure you have the latest bios

I looked at the revision history and did not see any mention of the voltage problem.

Even if a problem, using a laptop cooler will help.

If the technician that repaired your laptop installed other than the versions that are available at the laptop's support portal driver download web page, that may be the issue.
Laptops with hybrid graphics solutions such as your Victus are extremely particular about the drivers that can be installed.

The graphics driver also must come from the laptop's support portal driver download web page. Any other will not work as expected.
