Good day. Thank you for visiting the HP community. I would like to assist you here.
- Did you check the product specifications and the service manual of the computer?
Please check the product specs link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-touchsmart-9100-all-in-one-pc/4039078/document/c01952615
The support Ram modules come in these configurations:
-
-
PC3-10600 DDR3 non-ECC SDRAM (runs at 1333 MHz)
-
Two 200-pin SODIMM slots supporting dual channel memory
-
2GB (1GB x 2)
-
4GB (2GB x 2)
-
8GB (4GB x 2)
-
-
-
Dual-channel:
-
Maximized dual-channel performance requires SODIMMs of the same size and speed in both memory slots.
-
- Check the product specs for more information. Also, HP has not tested any other SSD with this machine. The only SSD that has been tested is the 64 bit one. Please check the service guide link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02549487 and refer to page 8 for more information.
- Please note Hp does not recommend upgrades of the computer's hardware. it is done at the customer's discretion.
- Also, refer to pages 8, and 18, 22 of the service manual for information regarding the memory configuration, part numbers and how to replace the RAM module.
Hope this answers your question.
The issue with the computer looks like a hardware issue though.
Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
