Windows 10 x64. I can't update the BIOS tools for my laptop. its parameters are indicated in the photo.
I installed the HP BIOS Update UEFI package, created the HP_TOOLS partition on the SSD, after a reboot the update launch window does not occur, the UEFI parameters do not appear, I ask for your help.photo_2024-05-08_15-18-36.jpgphoto_2024-05-08_14-50-37.jpg

Your laptop does not have support for UEFI as it is from 2012  and  was delivered with Windows 7.

It also has an MBR type hard disk volume and BIOS.  The BIOS type is something you cannot change.

UEFI requires an EFI BIOS.

HP no longer provides support  with updated drivers for your laptop.

I suggest upgrading to a newer laptop.

hi, I thought so, but it's strange why the manufacturer uploads a BIOS tool update file marked UEFI? I wanted to adapt this laptop to fade OS, it works, but with the latest update without UEFI, the device is not registered in google play, I will wait for an answer yet. From the company's employees or download a later version of the fade OS system 🙂 My computer and I have been together since university:) a great guy, I don't want to part with him :))

Hi @NikitaChemist

I was not correct about your laptop not being compatible with UEFI.

For future reference, your laptop's product number is B0S16EA#ACB and it is a Pavilion g6-1358er

I did manage to find a UEFI BIOS for your G6-2xxx laptop model series, but it is for Windows 7 and Windows 8.

It is dated 2016. Click on Revision history to see the previous BIOS download files.

Thanks, I found it too. but visually they are generally different :). I'll update it if I'm interested in writing what happened.
