I was wondering if i am able to update my RAM from 12 gb to 16 gb also processor 2.8 GHz to 4.8 GHz

Hi:

 

Yes, you can upgrade the memory to 16 GB by removing the 4 GB memory chip and replacing it with an 8 GB memory chip.

 

You cannot upgrade the processor as it is an integral part of the motherboard.

 

HP only has the service manual for the older  14-Dq2045cl model series, but it should be of help to you for taking the notebook apart to upgrade the memory.

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:
