Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried to upgrade with crucial 1x16gb ddr4-3200Mhz sodimm CL22  and the laptop turn on but nothing appears on the display, before I had crucial 16gb ddr4-2666Mhz and worked without problems.

Can you help me please?

Why NOT use the same RAM ? 3200MHz (if accepted) will run at 2555MHz anyway.

Hi Vlad_Incze.

 

If you are referring to the CT16G4SFRA32A modules suggested by Crucial on its page for your 15-dc0507na laptop, then the answer is that we have gotten quite a few posts about incompatibility with HP laptops. The problem is that this RAM can be either dual or single-rank, and especially for 8th gen Intels or lower, the single-rank modules tend to make the system unbootable. This is what you're witnessing with the black screen (there probably are some flashing leds you didn't mention). Unfortunately there's no way to make these modules compatible -return to Crucial and request dual-ranks, or select another brand that clearly states the chip organization of its modules.....
