HP ProBook 450 G5 (2RS08EA)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear community

I'm planning to buy HP ProBook 450 G5 (2RS08EA) with i7-8550U, GeForce 930MX, 8 GB RAM and 1TB hdd.

I can't exactly understood is it possible to install nvme ssd to this motherboard, i want to install 512 GB Samsung 970 PRO.

Does this motherboard goes with pci-e m.2 or not?

Thanks

Yes it does.  Here is the Service Manual...see p. 45.

And it has easy access doors on the bottom. Here is the layout:

The M.2 slot is circledThe M.2 slot is circled

Memory hard drive and M.2 are easily customer accessible. The 970 Pro is a great choice but the Evo is plenty fast and quite a bit cheaper. Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if it is the info you needed.

Hi, i have purchased the Probook 450 G5 256 gb ssd, Can i add a 1TB Evo nvme (As the main drive) and replace the 256 gb with a cheaper 2tb ssd for storage, or does it make any difference in terms of speed if i get an even cheaper 2tb HDD instead?

Thanks in advance.
