Hello guys , i want to know can i upgrade my laptop CPU ?
Model : HP - 15 - d033se
If I upgrade the CPU, do I need a stronger cooler? Stronger heat sink and fan?
Important: I opened the laptop for cleaning and realized that the CPU can be separated from the motherboard.
Thanks

Hi:
You don't need to do anything but replace the processor.
There aren't any other heat sinks or fans available for your notebook's hardware configuration.
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that the only processor you can upgrade to would be the Intel i5-3230M.

I use this website to see if any other processors not listed in the service manual will work.
I cannot find any reports from users of HP 15-dxx notebooks that installed anything other than what the service manual indicates is supported.
If the notebook's BIOS does not have the microcode to support an Intel 3rd generation dual core i7 processor, then the chances of it working are slim to none.
The only i7 processor that I see may have any chance of working in your notebook would be the i7-3540M, and it would be a complete gamble on your part to install it.
I've posted the link to the Intel side by side comparison of the i5 and i7 processors:
