I wish to upgrade my original mechanical 500 GB hdd to smaller 250 GB SSD disk, so I ask you if It was possibile to have compatibility issues if I bought any ssd disk. Do you suggest specific model?

What software can I use to clone HHD to smaller SSD (recovery partition included) ?

Thanks

Hi:

In my opinion, you should go with the same size SSD, and save yourself the worry that cloning the drive won't work.

The price is not that much higher.

This is the drive I recommend...best performance for the price...63.90 Euros

The 250 GB model is 47.96 Euros, not that much cheaper.   Less than 16 Euros difference for twice the storage space.
