I have a 17cn0173 product 4c483ua#aba motherboard 883c with straight across ports. By that i mean on the left is usbC, hdmi, usbA, head phones. on the right is the dc in and usb. These are all closest to the hinges. This is an i3 1125 11th gen. I want to upgrade the motherboard with an i5 or i7 that fits within the existing enclosure because I want to keep the 17 inch fhd display. Very important, I mentioned straight across ports, all the option I see have power and usb top right and usb a, usbc, hdmi, and headphones bottom left. My thought was if motherboard 883C is in the enclosure and is an i3., the i5 or i7 version would also fit but i cannot find the motherboard numbers to confirm. Thanks in advance for any help.

You're very welcome.

Probably the motherboard is not pictured in the same orientation as it actually mounts.

The source information for the part numbers I got from the parts list for the general model series:

You can go through each of the product numbers listed and see the motherboard part numbers and descriptions.

You can ignore the product numbers that end in 'R' because those are just refurbished models of the same product numbers you see on the list without the 'R.'

HP PartSurfer

UMA = onboard Intel graphics only

-001 = the motherboard comes with no Windows product key in the BIOS.

-601 = the motherboard comes with a Windows product key in the BIOS and 'WIN' is normally indicated in the motherboard description.

That would be all the information I can provide to you.

If you have a 17-cn0173st notebook, it has an Intel Core i3-1125G4 processor with the onboard Intel HD graphics adapter only.

So you would need an i5 or i7 motherboard with only the onboard Intel graphics so you can use the same heat sink.

Here's the system board part numbers for the i5 and i7 processors with the onboard Intel graphics and a Windows product key in the BIOS:

M50447-601  SPS-MB UMA i5-1135G7 WIN

M50448-601  SPS-MB UMA i7-1165G7 WIN

Below is the link to the service manual for the 17-cn1xxx model series but it should be of help to you for removing and replacing the motherboard.

Thank you for the fast response. My only issue is when I look at the 50448-601 the hdmi and usb ports do noit seem to align with the ones on my motherboard. All of my ports are left side and right side closest to the hinges. The 50448-601 seems to have one side ports away from the hinges? Am I looking at the board incorrect?
