Goood morning, I would like to know if I can upgrade my hardware with more RAM, now I have 8GB, can I add toher 8GB or even go to more ? Also given the laptop is good but not so fast, can I substitute my SATA Hard DIsk 5400 rpm with a new SSD? thanks for the tips, in case which products can I buy?

Hi:

 

Yes, you can upgrade the memory by adding a second 8 GB memory chip.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade info.

For a SSD upgrade you have two options:

 

1. You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

2.  Your notebook has a M.2 SSD slot that supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe, so you can replace the 2.5" drive with a M.2 SATA SSD, or you can keep the 2.5" mechanical hard drive, install a M.2 SATA SSD, and use the 2.5" drive for extra storage.
