HP Pavilion dv6-6b12ed
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ì would like to upgrade memory from 4GB to max.

But I can not find what the max is for this model.

In the help docs on HP site I keep getting in a loop of docs that refer to each other, regardless of whether i use serial number, model number or any other reference to my model.

Can anyone advise?

See p. 4 of the Service Manual here:

Manual

You have a Quad Core Intel i7 processor so your model can accept up to 2 x 8 gig DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM for 16 gigs total.

Memory modules (2, DDR3, 10600, 1333-MHz): 8 GB 634091-001

See p. 58 for upgrade procedure.

https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-KCP313SD8-8gb-1333mhz-Sodimm/dp/B01B5SKL40/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=15...

Your model will work best with low density memory i.e. 8 black blocks on the side of the module, not 4.
