Hi, @ShivaRamavath

According to the Quickspecs at the link below, your notebook came with the best processor available in models with the Mobile Intel® HM55 Express Chipset.

HP 630 Notebook PC (billiger.com)

The 2nd generation Intel Core i3-2350M processor is only supported on notebooks with the Mobile Intel® HM65 Express Chipset.

Since there are no other processors listed than the i3-380, any other first gen dual core Intel processor you try to install would be a gamble.

If you wanted to experiment, you could try the i5-560M, or the i7-640M.

No guarantee that either of them would work though.

Here is a side by side comparison of the 3 processors..,

Intel® Product Specification Comparison

Memory:  Your notebook supports 2 x 4 GB of DDR3-10600 memory.

It is very hard to find the right memory for notebooks with the chipset your model has.

You have to make sure that the memory has 8 little black chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.

It has to be 1.5V and not 1.35V, and it can be no faster than DDR3-1333 (10600) speed.

@ShivaRamavath

That document is the First edition February 2012. What is your G4, it should be G4-something, for example
