HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV)

basically, my laptop has 8gb of ram and I found out that it's not enough for me, I plan to upgrade to 32gb, but I'm afraid that it won't eliminate the warranty of the device

This is a peer-to-peer forum.

We do not work for or represent HP, so we cannot write on their behalf regarding the warranty terms and conditions.

HP only has the service manual for the older model 15-ec0xxx model series available.

According to chapter 5 of the manual, upgrading the memory is a customer-authorized procedure.

Off the record, most folks that believe they can do the work themselves do the upgrades, and normally the warranty will not be voided unless you break something in the process of doing the upgrades.

However, if your notebook ever needs warranty service, you must return it to its original hardware configuration, which means undoing any of the upgrades you did before sending the notebook in for warranty service.
