Disassembling the display assembly and installing antennas and routing the wiring can be done, but it is a bit of a pain and a risk.

The USB solution is far simpler. Plug it in, install the driver software and use it.  The disable the onboard wifi adapter. Simple as that.

The 15-au147nl notebook antenna setup only suports 1x1 wifi modules. That puts 5 GHz out of reach for an internal module change.

Removing and installing wireless antennas is way beyond the average "rookie" user capabilities, unless said rookie is an Engineer or an electronics enthusiast.

The simplest method is to use a button USB wifi dongle to achieve the 802.11ac band and 2.4/5Ghz bands.  See the following page for reference.  The tiny ASUS USB-AC53 will do all you want and is small enough to be left in the port.

BTW it is 5 Ghz, not 5G.

5G is a refererence to an future mobile telephone transmission capability.
