What is the maximum capacity of the SSD
that I can mount on the HP 15 fa0028nl
notebook?
I would like to install a 2TB SSD
but I doubt that the maximum capacity
it can support is 1TB

No one here can tell you with 100% accuracy if a drive greater than 1 TB will work.

It should, but no guarantees.

I gave you the link to the service manual in your other post.

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, HP offered drives up to 1 TB in the model series.

That usually is just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.

The Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook's model series indicates that they offer drives up to 4 TB in the model series.  I would imagine they should know what the notebook will support.

Thank you for your availability. I haven't received the notebook that I bought online yet but when it is delivered to me I will also find the motherboard manual in the box and I will be able to know the detailed specifications. I would like to know if a 2TB SSD will slow down the system compared to the 1TB one and if it can subtract the available RAM. And I would like to know if the 2TB SSD consumes more battery than the 1TB one. Waiting for your kind reply, thank you again for your availability.

You're very welcome.

HP does not supply any manuals with the notebooks they sell.

All of the documentation is online, and the service manuals are only in English.

I do not know the answers to your questions regarding the drive performance or power draw comparing the OEM drive that will come with your notebook.

HP could install a drive from several different manufacturers, so it is impossible to look up the specs on a drive without knowing the model number and manufacturer, and those specifications may not be easy to find since it is not a retail model NVMe SSD.

If you can find that information online, you would need to compare the specs between the 2 TB drive you plan to buy, and the drive currently installed with regard to the maximum read/write specs and the power consumption.
